The usage of water in the production of Ready-mix concrete is very high. The Satav Patil group has started to recycle this used water, which is later can be reused for other purposes. A deep pit is made in the ground, wherein the used water is poured thereby recharging the groundwater levels. The slurry from the water is removed and then the water is allowed to percolate into the ground. As the water percolates, it gets filtered. This has helped in increasing the groundwater levels, and this water can be reused by the company too.

Secondly, the quarry creates a lot of dust particles, which cause air pollution and may prove dangerous to the health of those working around it. In order to curb the damage caused by these dust particles, the company has purchased a Mechanical Sweeper. Basically, a roller is attached to a tractor and as the roller rotates on the ground, the dust particles are collected in the roller and stored inside. This Sweeper has reduced the number of floating dust particles thereby reducing the amount of pollution.

The company is also aware of the urban problems and does not wish to add any more to them. As a mindful citizen, the company arranges for preventive maintenance of all its transportation vehicles to avoid any untimely breakdown during the transport of finished material. This avoids the unwanted congestion of the traffic and avoids any unnecessary hindrance in civic life.
